no its straight doo doo in terms of hypertrophy, its more endurance training I would say but most people who join it want to look good.
Pretty much a scam if you join a crossfit group or club and pay money for it, in terms of growing muscle is pretty simple. All you need is
1.) progressive overload (make each workout harder)
2.) protein (prob 0.8-1lb per body weight)
3.) consistency (takes a long time especially if you're natural which is why most give up
4.) calorie surplus (this means if ur skinny you eat more than your body burns) fatties need not apply just focus on losing weight
