On mega from what I know you can exceed the space limit and they don't tell you anything (I have a basic mega account with 20 GB of space but on top of it I have uploaded more than 1 TB of files, the only thing that comes out sometimes is a notification that tells you that you have exceeded the available space, then after about 1-2 months they send you an email and tell you that they will block the account if you do not empty the space, at which point you create a new account, pass the files over that new and you have another 1-2 months), hindsight I know some who use a method with referrals but they are much longer to do
