Why Not To Have Children

This is true to some extent and costs can be reduced, but if there's more people it's going to require more space than before. As a single person for example someone can live in a 400-500 sqft studio apartment, but that becomes difficult with adding more people in. People may not want to give a potential child a lower quality environment, and thus it's a logical choice to not have children due to financial or space reasons.

I just disagree, and that's fine.

You can't put a number on having a kid.
Yes, there can be an average, but this average can be worked around.
If you are poor and cannot afford $250k, cut corners. 
I'm sure that there are plenty of ways to save, there's not one answer on how much a kid can be.

There are averages and numbers to costs though. Of course it would vary across the economic spectrum but around $250,000 is what the cost is about.

 

Also, many grew up in poverty and realized they don't want to pass that to children and even if it is theoretically possible in some ways they may not want their children to live a lower quality lifestyle. Even now, it is difficult for many people to afford an apartment for one person, let alone have a house for multiple children.

The thing to keep in mind is when I create these posts it's about doing what's best for humanity, not necessarily just about my wants as an individual. 

 

Also I look at things as a discussion and not a debate. The problem is when people try to win debates they don't see each other as humans, it's more important to discuss things openly rather in the aim of winning or losing a debate so I don't regard things from a debate perspective.

The brainwashing is actually usually towards having children without questioning it much. To think that questioning it is brainwashing shows some issues with the status quo.

Well generally in society it is regarded as so. We need more people to adopt the childfree knowledge and lifestyle.
