Ive been seeing a lot of refunders in the past few days saying UPS scans for amazon is down… 
Is Return To Sender still the way to go with scans? 

 

Refunders get their scans done by others who provide the services. Those who provide UPS services usually do it through an API so if UPS scans are down, then there's no way to go about it but pray that it comes up for an in-transit refund or go for the post-delivered method.

Yup, just find a service that offers USPS RTS.

 

but some refunders started refused + damaged way before its even arrived, how is that done then?

 

If you check the tracking, they do Refused/Damaged and then do RTS - reason being is that Amazon can only check part of the tracking updates on the Amazon website and so the following scans you've added is what's shown to them.

I'll be going over briefly on how they do this but do keep in mind that this is a general gist of it and does not cover every single scenario! This is just a BASIC guide.

 

Ensure you have a contact who can manipulate UPS tracking.
If you don't have one, choose a contact of your preference by seeing those who post their services:
Home -> Marketplace -> Premium Sellers -> Services

 

To increase your chances of your Amazon Order being delivered via UPS, here are some simple tips:

 

Once your Amazon order has been dispatched and the courier is UPS, there are 2 ways to go about refunding your order:

 

1) Amazon In-Transit Method

 

 

2) Amazon Post-Delivery Method
