Additional Information: he told me these gift cards never expire and a year later they don’t work. He never had any disclaimer and like said on his post they were obtained legally however they are invalid a year later.

The error you get when you use the cards now, which says they are invalid, is the same error you get after the cards have been used. I tested cards that he sold last year and 2 years ago, and all say the same thing (invalid, or cancelled) when I have manually claimed these on the customers order and they were valid and used successfully. This means the most likely scenario is that you used the cards. I cannot confirm you didn't use the cards. It's been more than 1 year since your purchase. You should have used them when you bought them.
