Requiem for a Dream is one of those movies that I watched in bits and pieces a long time ago and still can't review in its entirety. It's amazing, powerful, but too heavy emotionally. Some scenes literally give you goosebumps, and the movie itself leaves you with a feeling of emptiness and horror. It's not the kind of movie you want to go back to for a high, but rather a reminder of how far addiction and despair can take you.
