So many here have an incredible knowledge of cooking. I'd love to hear about your cooking experience or what interests you in cooking. For me, I have three young kids and got tired of cooking boring dinners every night so decided last year to start making new recipes regularly and following chefs on Instagram. It has really reignited my interest in cooking. I've always loved baking but dinners are hard and I'm thankful for inspiration from others.

That's awesome! Trying new recipes is a great way to keep cooking exciting. I also find inspiration from chefs online and love shopping at Kroger for fresh ingredients to try new dishes. Keep up the great work! KROGERSURVEY

This is a refreshing snark-free question for this sub! Everything I ate growing up was from a box or freezer — I mostly accredit smitten kitchen for teaching me to cook while I was in college. My older brother went to culinary school around the same time; gave me some hot tips/knife skills and I was pretty locked in from college on. I’ve cooked professionally, but I mostly host cool parties and make great dinners for myself and husband now. I’ve had beef with HBH from her get-go.

Growing up on a farm far away from the city gives you the opportunity to learn how to cook. Especially when there is food all around you and fresh herbs from the nearby forest. Moving to the city made it really difficult to find good herbs but the habits still stay.
