nice pic
Hey VoidcommonSense,
It's not a bad photograph. It actually has an aesthetic similar to a 1950's postcard. However, because taking photographs on phones is so ubiquitous today I would suggest coming up with a story or series of photographs. That way you begin to create a narrative more than just a snapped picture that you put through a filter.
For example if you had 3 photographs next to each other (which is known as a triptyque) where you had the photograph of what you've currently taken above, a broken surfboard and maybe a piece of luggage with clothes splayed open with a living soft-shelled crab crawling over the clothes you would begin to create a reaction from the viewer.
But if you're going for a single photographic composition I would suggest creating a deeper photographic contrast if your goal is to focus on the aesthetic. That way the image doesn't begin to blend together to much one you squint your eyes.
Regardless of what and how you move forward, keep pushing yourself. This is a great start.
