You can either do nothing, or box them. From my experience, there's no difference. 

Is there a problem if after they give me the new monitor I disappear? And never answer them again?

No, I've done this 6 or 7 times when they request the old one back and they never did anything. I just cancelled the parcel pickup and never heard from them again
